New York, NY - December 21st, 2017. Amir Bar-Lev's epic Grateful Dead documentary Long Strange Trip has burst into awards season with two major nominations already under its' belt.

First, Bar-Lev's feature, which the Los Angeles Times praised as "one of the best rock docs of all time", has been shortlisted for the 2018 Academy Award for Best Documentary. The final list of nominees will be announced on Tuesday January 23rd.

Next, the four-hour flick will compete for "Best Music Film" at the 2018 Grammy awards, taking place on Sunday January 28th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
